Dune: Spice Wars Early Access | A delicate thing

Outside of mods, we haven’t had a Dune-based game since 2001. But the new movie adaptation makes it a lucrative time to get in on the Arrakis action. And it’s a good thing, too, as Shiro Games brings their Northgard experience to the front in Dune: Spice Wars, which just entered Early Access.

W40K: Battlesector – Necrons DLC review | Metallic zombies

I was disappointed when I first discovered that Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector would pit Blood Angels against the NPC race. However, with the developers being the same guys that gave BSG: Deadlock numerous great DLCs, I was hopeful. So let’s see how the Necrons DLC shakes out.

World War 3 stress test | Tank supremacy in Warsaw

It was three years ago that I last (and first) looked at World War 3, probably the worst-named contender Battlefield series ever had. I think it may have died once or twice in the interim. However,  last weekend’s stress test gave public (and me) the chance to take it out for a spin again.

WARNO Early Access | Preview in 7 Screenshots

WARNO announcement was rolled out so stealthily, you basically had to have entered the trailer’s link accidentally to spot it. Why would Eugen do it to it’s own successor to the Wargame franchise? With the Early Access out not a month later (and asking €30 from mortals), we can wager a guess: they knew it’s not ready.

Crossfire Legion | Preview in 7 Screenshots

CrossFire is one of the largest FPS games ever. Sure, it may not be popular in the Western countries, but there are far more gamers outside of those than in them. So I guess Crossfire Legion, ostensibly set in CrossFire universe, is for them.

God of War review | They already wrote all the dad jokes in 2018

This first version of this review was almost finished when my computer went for a scheduled shutdown, and the blog backend, which doesn’t autosave, took everything with it*. It’s all for the better, because this one will be newer, bolder, fresher – as fresh as a review of the new PC port of God of War – released four years after its console debut – can be.

Regiments operations playtest | Preview in 7 Screenshots

Recently, Regiments launched a surprise open playtest. This threw a wrench into my Dad of Boy-playing plans. Luckily, the playtest is all about showing off the operations mode, so having finally completed it, I can pen these words and go back to crossing swords*.
